Annual Subscriptions 2008-2009

It is that time of year when annual subscriptions for the upcoming season are now due. Following a decision at the AGM, there will no longer be a separate membership fee and match fees taken on a weekly basis. Last season these charges were £35 for the season’s membership followed by £6 a match.

Instead there will be one fee paid by all playing members. This fee will be £140 if paid in one instalment (by cash/cheque payable to Didcot Rugby Club) or £144 paid in monthly instalments. These instalments should have commenced on the 1st September but due to unexpected delays will instead start on the 1st October with an instalment of £24 followed by monthly payments of £12. These monthly instalments will be collected by Standing Order. Any member joining later in the season will start paying £12 a month as soon as they join the club.

Student/U21 members will have a reduced fee of £5 a month but in addition will have to pay for their Marlborough Club membership separately. This currently stands at £16 a year. Anybody applying for a reduced membership will need to see Paul Costello to obtain a different Standing Order Form.

Playing members will automatically be covered by the RFU insurance. However this cover is very limited and Didcot Rugby Club advise that individuals take out their own insurance, in case injuries sustained from rugby leads to a loss of earnings.

Playing members will also automatically become members of ‘The Marlborough Club’ for the duration of the season, have voting rights at the club AGM and as a club member you also have the right to apply for England Rugby Home International Tickets through the club ballot.

For non playing members the fees are shown below. Non Playing members can enter the club ballot for Twickenham tickets and have full voting rights at the club AGM. The Marlborough Club Membership (MC) is optional and will currently cost £16 a year for each adult. If the non playing member wishes to join the team in the Marlborough Club after the game they will need to be members.
